Chico and rita

This year we'll be working with with the Tallgrass Film Festival to present the oscar-nominated animated film Chico & Rita on April 19th at 7:00. Tickets will be $10 for general admission, $8 for students, teachers, seniors, and military. Go here for more information!

The Wichita Jazz Festival will be returning to Doc Howard's Lounge on April 18th to host this year's kick-off concert, featuring Gabriel Alegria and his Afro-Peruvian Sextet. 

Miguel zenon

Cutting-edge saxophonist Miguel Zenon will help close out the festivities this year on our April 21st concert. Make sure not to miss this award-winning player and his quartet.

For forty years, the Wichita Jazz Festival has been dedicated to fostering great jazz in Wichita and raising the next generation of Kansas jazz musicians. Our monthly concerts and annual festival bring in some of the greatest living names in the jazz world, and our education programs put young players in contact with professional musicians to continue America's musical tradition in our home town.
